RED MOUNTAIN: the last great, unspoiled resort

Located in Rossland, BC – the first stop along the famous “Powder Highway” – RED delivers 2,877 lift-serviced acres (4,200 total!) of pristine skiing unfettered by overdevelopment. With epic vertical (2,919 ft/890m!), in-bounds cat-skiing, wide-open groomers, 360-degree descents, a rich tradition, and—phew!—the BEST gladed tree runs in North America, this best-kept secret has been let out of the bag. And we think it sucks »

Our numbers don’t lie.

(and our hips dont either)

At RED, visitors can choose from 110 runs spread across three stellar mountains that feature everything from wide-open groomers to steep, powder-filled glades. With more than 2,682 skiable acres and 890 meters (2,919 feet) of vertical terrain serviced by 7 total lifts, there is a lot to explore at RED. The abundant snow, friendly staff and locals, and the short lift lines are just a few reasons why our guests fall in love.

Not a number cruncher?

then take in the eye candy.

With 360 degree views of the infamous Kootenay Sea, the towns of Rossland and Trail as well as the beautiful Columbia River all from the mountain, those “scenic breaks” will be happening left and right – which we all know are simply just excuses to rest those legs, but that’s ok with us. That’s what we’re here for.

WE ALL LOVE THE SNOW

BUT WE DON’T NEED YOU SLEEPING IN IT

From 4-star rated slopeslide condo accommodations with your own private jacuzzi (c’mon over, ladies) to more affordable accommodations in the town of Rossland (only 5 minutes away!), you have some good pickins’ to warm up your boots and body.

GOLD GOT ‘EM HERE

…AND THE KOOTENAYS KEPT ‘EM HERE

Modern-day Rossland is that rare beast: A place of small town charm and big, big ideas. A real municipality at the base of a world-class ski resort. An historic downtown core with all mod cons, from gourmet espresso to book stores. And all of it is held together by the famously friendly locals and their commitment to making sure that Canadian Hospitality still means something. Find out all about Rossland »
