With accolades ranging from “Best Authentic and Funky Resort Experience” to “Best Powder, Best Trees, Best Steeps”, to “Best Fall Line Steeps” and one of the "Top 5 Freeride Spots", RED Mountain Resort is the hidden jewel of BC’s Kootenay Rockies Powder Highway region.

RED is one of the biggest ski areas in BC, offering incredibly diverse terrain with a huge 2,919 foot vertical drop (884 meters), over 300 inches (750cm) of annual snowfall, world renowned gladed tree skiing, wide-open groomed runs, terrain park and easy-to-access sidecountry. Massive terrain expansion is now underway on Grey Mountain, RED's 3rd peak, which will add 997 new ski-able acres to the existing 1,685. For winter 2013, a snowcat will shuttle skiers and snowboarders to the summit of Grey. A quad chairlift will be installed summer 2013.

RED boasts modern ski in/out lodging, fine dining, shopping, a professional ski school, guiding, high performance equipment rentals, day care and free shuttle to Rossland. Other activities include snowshoeing, ice skating, cross-county skiing, movie nights and apres ski partying in Rafters Bar, ranked as North America's Best Ski Area Bar by Powder Magazine. All this is seasoned with an authentic winter enthusiast vibe, friendly locals and the turn-of-the-century charm of the city of Rossland, located minutes away, offering a selection of pubs, restaurants, cafes, spas and shopping.

RED in Rossland is located 8 km north of the US/Canada border in the heart of the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. Rossland is a 2.5 hour drive from the Spokane, WA International Airport, or 3.5 hours drive from Kelowna, BC International Airport. Daily regional flights are available with Air Canada from Vancouver and Calgary to Castlegar's West Kootenay Regional Airport (35 minutes from Red) and with Pacific Coastal Airlines from Vancouver's YVR South Terminal to Trail Airport (20 minutes from Red).
