Guest Services – Ticket Office

Red Mountain Resort is currently accepting applications for a Guest Services – Ticket Office clerk for the 2018/19 winter season. The available position is part-time/casual. Successful applicants will be expected to work some holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities and duties

  1. Selling lift tickets and season passes
  2. Cashier on Window/Guest Service Counter Rotation
    1. Process sales transactions quickly and accurately
    2. Assist guests in selecting the best lift ticket or pass product for their needs
    3. Reconcile revenues and receipts completely and accurately at the end of each shift
  3. Guest services
    1. Able to answer a wide variety of questions concerning all aspects of the ski resort’s operations and events
    2. Phone Rotations/ Answer phone calls of a general nature as well as those directed at the ticket office specifically
    3. Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor towards customers and other staff members at all times
  4. Other duties
    1. Special events registration
    2. Filing forms and applications quickly and accurately
    3. Maintaining files and supplies in good order
    4. Managing Lost and Found
    5. Assisting the Senior Ticket Cashier as requested
    6. Comments Support
    7. Sales & Marketing Support

Qualifications

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent
  • Knowledge: Basic computer operation in a Windows environment
  • Experience: Cash handling experience an asset
  • Skills and abilities: Excellent customer service skills; attentive to detail; able to work well in a high-pressure environment; must be bondable

Wage rate: In accordance with the USW collective agreement.
