If you have been convicted of a crime in your home country and it is considered a criminal offence in Canada (such as a DUI), the Canadian Immigration regulations may restrict you from entering the country. Your records in the US can be accessed by Canadian Customs & Immigration officers through co-operative access to information agreements between the US and Canada. Any past or present conviction may prohibit your access to Canada therefore it is recommended that if you do have a record you contact one of the border crossing officials ahead of time to be made aware of your options for travel to Canada.
Our Guest Service Centre is located on the lower floor of the base lodge, next to the ticket window. Here, our guest services team will be happy to help you with any of your travel requests to assure your visit to Red is relaxing and enjoyable.
1) Dress in Layers. The best way to have a comfortable, fun day on the slopes is to dress properly. Be sure to layer your clothes as the temperature changes throughout the day
a) Base Layer: merino wool (for details: www.iobiocompatibles.com )
b) Insulating Layer: fleece
c) Outer Layer: Waterproof/breathable shell (for details: www.gore-tex.com )
2) Be Prepared for anything (the weather changes)
3) Wear sun protection! Even though it may feel cold, the suns rays can be quite strong especially on a cloudy day. The snow acts as a reflector which intensifies the effect of the sun so be smart and wear sunscreen.
4) Always wear goggles or sunglasses. The reflection of the sun on the snow can burn your eyes causing serious damage. Your day will be much more comfortable and enjoyable so don’t forget your goggles or sunglasses!
