full-time head service tech/shop supervisor

Red Sports is looking for a full-time head service tech/shop supervisor for the 2022/2023 season. This position is responsible for mounting, tuning, adjusting and testing rental and customer equipment, with a mandate to ensure that all equipment coming through the service shop is safe, well-tuned and adjusted in accordance with industry standards. This position is also in charge of the day-to-day operations of the service shop, including the ordering of parts and supplies and supervising of the service shop staff.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience in repair, tuning and waxing of skis and snowboards is a must.
  • Experience or willingness to become knowledgeable in boot fitting
  • Ordering of parts and supplies with current Red Sports suppliers
  • In charge of day-to-day operations of service shop, and staff and ensure all Red Sport’s policies and procedures are followed
  • Maintenance of shop machines and parts
  • Offer advice as to safety of gear, suggest appropriate repairs, and estimate cost of such repairs
  • Ensure guest understands what needs to/should be done to ensure on-mountain safety and comfort
  • Fill out work order forms completely and accurately, making note of actual repairs done as well as customer’s invoice amount
  • Create a professional, competent, positive impression for the beginner and seasoned guest alike
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe environment
  • Be knowledgeable about all Red Sports rental equipment
  • Answer guests’ questions and concerns
