Host/Greeter – Food and Beverage

Position Summary:

We are currently hiring for a Host/Greeter for the 2020-21 winter season. This role is responsible for setting the entrance standard for our COVID safety protocols. The successful candidate will work at any one of our Food and Beverage facilities and will be responsible for managing guest flow, adhering to occupancy levels, greeting and showing guests to seating areas, and communicating sanitization procedures. This is a full-time, seasonal position.

Essential Duties:

  • Greet and seat guests
  • Manage reservations and/or guests on first come first serve basis
  • Maintain occupancy levels
  • Collect and manage tracing details
  • Communicate and enforce COVID protocols
  • Manage takeout orders and payment if not pre paid
  • Assist runners/bussers and ensure sanitation plan is adhered to
  • Assist in opening and or closing duties, ensure all duties are complete

  • Consistently work on up-selling opportunities
  • Ensure uniform requirements are met, deportment is professional and consistent with deportment and demeanor requirements


  • Must have a High School Diploma, along with at least 3 years experience in a restaurant environment
  • Must have excellent communication skills and able to communicate with guests in a clear and professional manner
  • Must be able to make decisions quickly and efficiently.
  • Serving It Right Certificate is required

Skills & Abilities:

  • Must meet the minimum physical requirements below:
    • Able to lift 12 kg overhead
    • Able to work on your feet for long period of time
    • Able to carry stock up several flights of stairs if business levels require it
  • Must have exceptional work habits, including being prompt and responsible
  • Enjoy working alone and under pressure, as well as in a team environment
  • Exceptional customer service and cooking skills, including understanding and anticipating the needs of customers
  • Outgoing personality and high standards of quality
  • Enjoy working with the public and can deal pleasantly with the pressure of a busy environment
