Lift Operations Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join our RED Management team in the role of Lift Operations
Manager. The Lift Operations Manager that will be responsible for leading all aspects of our Lift
Operations including staff management, recruitment and hiring, training and safety. The successful
applicant will be expected to work some holidays and weekends. This is a seasonal position from October – April each season.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Ensuring guests and employees are treated courteously, safely and efficiently
  • Ensuring employees are following all COVID related safety protocols in addition to lift specific

safety protocols

  • Providing supervision and guidance to employees as required in accordance with RED Mountain policies, collective agreement and employment laws
  • Recruiting and hiring for the lift operations team
  • Providing comprehensive training for all new and returning staff
  • Daily scheduling for all employees
  • Managing the daily operations of the lifts and staffing
  • Resolving any staff conflict in a professional and fair manner
  • Ensuring all lift stations are clean, neat and free of clutter
  • Knowing and keep up to date with health and safety regulations and safe work procedures
  • Effectively dealing with customer complaints in a polite and efficient manner
  • Communicating regularly and effectively with all other managers and employees at RED
  • Performing other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Lift Operations, including at least 2 years supervisory experience
  • Must show a strong commitment to safety and have knowledge of safety procedures including
    WorkSafe BC and Technical Safety BC requirements
  • Must be comfortable speaking in front of large groups and have excellent facilitation and training skills
  • Experience with recruiting and hiring staff is required
