Line Cook

The Line Cook is responsible for the food preparation in one of our kitchens. This also includes cleaning, stocking, opening duties, and closing the kitchen at the end of the day. The successful candidate will be upbeat, positive, motivated, disciplined, adore working in a fast paced, demanding role and thrive on a challenge. 

Essential Duties

  • Required to follow all COVID-19 safety policies and procedures
  • Preparing food
  • Cleaning and stocking
  • Performing opening and closing duties in the kitchen

Performance Measures

  • Positive attitude
  • Pleasant, neat in appearance, punctual and reliable
  • Able to answer a wide variety of questions concerning all aspects of the Mountain Resorts Operations, and life on the mountain and in the town
  • Receive positive customer comments


  • Grade 12 Education
  • At least 2 years’ cooking experience in a high-volume environment
  • Must have a Food Safe Certificate
  • Language of work is English, additional language skills are considered an asset

Skills & Abilities

  • Must meet the minimum physical requirements below:
    • Able to lift 12 kg overhead
    • Able to work on your feet for long period of time
    • Able to carry stock up several flights of stairs if business levels require it
  • Must have exceptional work habits, including being prompt and responsible
  • Enjoy working alone and under pressure, as well as in a team environment
  • Exceptional customer service and cooking skills, including understanding and anticipating the needs of customers
  • Outgoing personality and high standards of quality
  • Enjoy working with the public and can deal pleasantly with the pressure of a busy environment
