RED Teeth 2019; Wine Down.

That’s a wrap on RED Teeth, A Mountain Wine Festival. Celebrated over Canada Day long weekend, our third annual festival was bigger than ever with an action-packed 4-day lineup of grape-a-licious festivities.

This year for the first time, the festival was held by our neighbours, The Josie. Chef Marc-Andre Choquette, Executive Chef and Donald Haddad, Food & Beverage Manager of The Velvet Restaurant & Lounge along with their talented team put on a culinary show that has everyone eagerly awaiting the arrival of next year’s event. The festivities kicked off with a long table wine maker’s dinner with our friends at Upper Bench, moved into wine seminars and wine & dine dinners, accompanied by a crew of sommeliers at The Velvet.

Guests could show off their newly acquired straight A’s wine tasting skills at the Signature Tasting Event on Sunday. Featuring over 25 wineries and 60 labels from BC and around the world. It was almost impossible to try them all, but we sure gave it a good try. There’s always next year, right?

If all that action wasn’t enough, Chef Wesley from PiDGiN, Vancouver and Chef MAC created an Asian / French flavor explosion with a buffet feast to enjoy with those gorgeous RED Mountain views in the backdrop.

We closed out the long weekend in true Canada-Day style with a hike up Mt. Roberts and celebratory music and fireworks at the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre.

On top of a great time, we raised glasses for a good cause! Proceeds from every ticket sold at the Signature Event were donated to, Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre.

A huge thank you to all the wineries, event team and guests who joined us for an action-packed weekend.
