Rossland is located 8 km north of the US/Canada border in the heart of the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. Rossland is a 2.5 hour drive from the Spokane, WA International Airport, or 3.5 hours drive from Kelowna, BC International Airport. Daily regional flights are available from Vancouver and Calgary to Castlegar (30 minutes from Red) and Trail Airports (15 minutes from Red), a short drive from the Resort.

Drift Izakaya is the West Kootenays’ first exposure to Japanese Izakaya style dining. An izakaya is a Japanese pub-style drinking establishment that serves food which accompanies a variety of beverages. Izakaya’s are best known as casual, inviting, inexpensive establishments that serve a variety of small plates ranging from robata, shashimi, tartars, carpaccios and salads to noodles, fried chicken, Chinese, Korean and other world cuisine.
The Drift also carries a large selection of sake, beer, shochu (Japanese/ Korean vodka) and wine. Hours of operation will be 5pm until close (restaurant will be closed Christmas Day). The Drift will also be hosting a variety of local bands and DJs so visit the town’s newest Japanese pub for great food, drinks and tunes!

Newly remodeled for the 2010/2011 ski season, Rafters is the quintessential apres-ski bar, filled with nostalgia from Red’s heydays. Located on the 3rd level of the new Day Lodge, Rafters will serve you up draft beer, wine, hot drinks, with a full liquor bar. Open during normal operating hours at Red Mountain Resort, and closing at 9pm, Rafters is the place to be after a long powder day.
Gabriella’s Restaurant at Red Mountain Village at the base of Granite mountain (after turning off the highway stay right) is a traditional Italian restaurant offering a delightful atmosphere, incredible food and friendly service. Open daily at 4:00 pm. Reservations welcome at 250.362.SKIS
Lovingly known as the Shovel, the Flying Steamshovel is located up from Columbia Ave on Washington Street in downtown Rossland. Boasting a dart board, a Negeln (neg-lin) stump, and a pool table, the Shovel has everything you need for a good night out. Open late most nights.
Come get tapas-style dining and drinks at the Red Room in the Prestige Mountain Resort.
Located up the highway from Red Mountain Resort, the Rock Cut Pub has pub-style fare, with a wide range of beers on tap, as well as gaming activities for all.
The Gypsy at Red is an award winning restaurant, located at the base village. The Gypsy serves up a unique blend of creative gourmet meals, integrating amazing flavours into each beautiful dish. The Gypsy at Red is an experience not to be missed, enjoy their fabulous options in their new menu as well as homemade desserts and a great wine list.
Ferraro Foods, located in downtown Rossland on Columbia Ave, is a full-service grocery store so you can stock your pantry with food for your ski trip.
A cold beer/wine store, BC Liquor is the go-to for spirits, beer, and wine. Located on Columbia Ave, open from 10:30am to 6:00pm most days, except Friday, open until 8:00pm, and closed Sundays
Need some grub but Ferraro’s is closed? Rossland Grocery is where you want to go for your late night raid. Stocking most basics, plus a small video rental library, Rossland Grocery is open until midnight on most nights.
