RED's success depends on energetic, friendly, helpful employees as outstanding as our legendary terrain! We are currently looking for new staff to fill the positions, under Current Job Openings. If you cannot find a job listed in the department you are interested in, feel free to email your resume to jobs@redresort.com to be kept on file should the position come available at a later date.

RED Mountain Resort and the United Steelworkers Local 9705 have a collective agreement that states preference is given to hiring local persons who reside in the area before hiring from outside the area.

Senior staff has priority for returning to their positions and to new positions. Their recall date is the first weekday of September, after this time we actively hire for any available positions. Please note that we will only contact successful candidates.

RED’s season will start early to mid December, weather permitting and closes the first Monday of April. Where applicable, pre-season job training would take place in late November or early December. These times can vary by a week or two depending on snow conditions.

RED does not offer any on site accommodations, so most employees choose to live in Rossland. There are rental accommodations available in Rossland, 5 km from the mountain, Warfield – 10 km and Trail – 15 km. There is a free shuttle that runs between RED and Rossland and public transit that travels to points beyond.

Foreign workers: In order to work or volunteer at RED you must be a Canadian citizen or have a valid Canadian Visa and Work Permit. All foreign workers must show their Visa, Work Permit, Canadian Social Insurance Number and/or proof that you have applied for the Social Insurance Number.

Returning Employees

Important Information: On or before the first weekday of September of each year, employees returning to Red Mountain Resort for work must inform the Company in writing of his/her intention to be available to work for the upcoming season. Fill out the letter of intent here.

Employees who have completed only one season of employment must inform RED Resort in writing of his/her intention to be available to work for the upcoming season. Employees must indicate any changes or desired changes in his / her work status. Requests must be received before the first weekday of September.

Returning employees must also re-confirm their intent to return no later than the 14th of September each season. Failure to do so will result in the loss of recall rights, under provision 8.07.

Ski Resort Employment Boot Camp

The Skills Centre will be running a boot camp October 12-18, aimed at getting you trained up and ready to apply for jobs with us for the winter. If you would like to attend this program, call 250-368-6360 or email btorres@communityskillscentre.com.
