OPENING DAY DECEMBER 12TH, 2020

Fiercely independent RED delivers 3,850 acres of pristine skiing, putting us in Top 10 terrain territory in N. America. A new chairlift on Topping Creek streamlines skier flow to Grey Mountain and we continue our unique offering of $10/run cat skiing on the flanks of stunning Mt. Kirkup. We really pride ourselves on fresh turns you don’t have to fight for—that’s why we claim “#1 Acres Per Skier”! Your RED adventure now offers a wider range of ski-in/ski-out accommodations: modern condos with private hot tubs; The Constella, our new mid-mountain cabins; a design-driven hostel a snowball’s throw from the lift; and an independent boutique hotel at the base that boasts incredible dining and cocktail options. With 300” of annual snowfall, epic vertical (2,919ft/890m!), wide-open groomers, 360-degree descents, IKON Pass access, a rich tradition, and—phew!—the BEST tree runs in BC, is it any wonder RED was voted “Most Underrated Resort” by Skiing?

Our numbers don’t lie.

Top 10 Total Skiable Acres in North America

At RED, visitors can choose from 119 runs spread across three stellar mountains that feature everything from wide-open groomers to steep, powder-filled glades. With more than 3,850 skiable acres and 890 meters (2,919 feet) of vertical terrain serviced by 8 total lifts, there is a lot to explore at RED. The abundant snow, friendly staff and locals, and the short lift lines are just a few reasons why our guests fall in love.

Not a number cruncher?

then take in the eye candy.

When the snow melts and the skis and boards are stored away, adventure in RED and Rossland turn the page and simply continue to chug away 24-7. Whether its our epic mountain biking, whitewater rafting, high-altitude golf, fly fishing, or kayaking we have plenty to keep you busy day in and day out. Finish it all off and kick back at our local award-winning craft brewery, Rossland Beer Co., for a pint at sunset. The snow may be gone on the mountain, but the adventure is just beginning.

With 360 degree views of the infamous Kootenay Sea, the towns of Rossland and Trail as well as the beautiful Columbia River all from the mountain, those “scenic breaks” will be happening left and right – which we all know are simply just excuses to rest those legs, but that’s ok with us. That’s what we’re here for.

GOLD GOT ‘EM HERE

…AND THE KOOTENAYS KEPT ‘EM HERE

Modern-day Rossland is that rare beast: A place of small town charm and big, big ideas. A real municipality at the base of a world-class ski resort. An historic downtown core with all mod cons, from gourmet espresso to book stores. And all of it is held together by the famously friendly locals and their commitment to making sure that Canadian Hospitality still means something. Find out all about Rossland »
