Possibly the biggest event of the year! The Annual Rossland Winter Carnival is packed with community and family-oriented activities and events throughout this historical weekend, with lots of reasons and ways to celebrate! From ice sculptures and ice bars, live music, food vendors, fire dancers and parades, tobogganing, bobsled races, RED Mountain's "The Game" Rail Jam, and more, this is seriously a weekend to remember.

Backcountry Awareness Day is BACK after a few year hiatus! Join members from Rossland Search and Rescue to learn how to prepare for the backcountry and practice key safety skills for the wilderness. Be sure to stop by the Search and Rescue tent beside the Base Lodge for some hot chocolate, tasty snacks and great prizes!

Brace yourself for heart-pounding action as Canada’s top alpine athletes converge on our world-class slopes to compete for glory. With breathtaking mountain views as the backdrop, this spectacle of speed will have you on the edge of your chairlift as you witness ski racing at its finest.

You thought we were done with ski racing for the year? Heck no! We just saved the best for last. The next generation of ski racers will compete for a Provincial title right here on the Face of RED. Prepare to have your toque blown off, these kids have a serious need for speed.

What’s the only thing better than shredding RED during the day? Hot laps at night! New for the 24/25 season, the T-Bar and Magic Carpet will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night starting December 27th. And if you’re craving a beer, have no fear! Rafters will be open for bevvies and grub to fuel your fun.

The Rossland Bikepacking Summit will introduce bikepacking to a diverse audience and will strengthen and build the local bikepacking community in the West Kootenays. The event organizers believe biking is a sport that can be enjoyed by everybody and every body. However, several barriers to engaging in the sport exist and include lack of exposure to other bikepackers, challenge locating routes, lack of community, and a difficulty navigating the broad and esoteric worlds of bicycles and bikepacking gear. This summit addresses those barriers by including a gear expo and demo, speakers, and a group ride and camp. All events are planned to be inclusive and welcoming to all ages, bodies, genders and cultures.
