Paragliding is a very weather-dependent sport. Conditions must be favorable and are at the total discretion of the pilot and guide. We recommendinquiring no more than 1-2 days in advance for a flight. During winter and summer flying all aspects of weather, including wind and visibility, are key factors when deciding if a flight is possible as conditions can change hourly.

How long does the paragliding flight last for?
The entire experience usually lasts about three hours from meet-and-greet to back-on-the-ground (and it’s all exciting), while the duration of the flight itself will depend on the air of any given day: think minimum 15 minutes, maximum 1 hour airtime.
How old do I have to be to paraglide?
All passengers should be between the ages of 12-89yrs and able-bodied. The aircraft can only carry passengers between 80 and 240lbs. All passengers must be uninjured and able to run and jump from a height of 3 feet.
How do I get to the launch site?
The Get Lost Adventure Centre will advise you concerning how to get in touch and rendezvous with your tandem pilot. Summer operations most often take place near the junction of Hwy 3 and Hwy 3B: halfway between Salmo and Fruitvale.
Are there any weight restrictions or basic level of fitness needed for paragliding?
The aircraft can only carry passengers between 80 and 240lbs. All passengers must be uninjured, able-bodied and able to run and jump from a height of 3 feet.
Are the flights weather dependant?
YES. Paragliding is extremely weather dependent. If the appropriate weather does not present at the time of your booking, your money will be refunded, or you will have the option to rebook.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made prior to 48 hours before flight time will be fully refunded. Cancellations within 48hrs of flight time will be subject to a 50% charge. Cancellations within 12 hours of flight time will be subject to a 100% charge. Failure to attend a scheduled flight will result in a 100% charge.
Do I have to wear a helmet and sunglasses?
YES. Many types of helmets are appropriate including snow-sports, skateboard, and full-face mountain biking helmets. If you don’t have your own helmet, you can use one of ours. Don’t forget to bring your sunglasses!
Can I take a camera to use during the flight?
Yes, of course! Cameras should be tethered to your jacket with a few feet of thin cord. We have cord you can use. A dropped camera will not survive.
How should I dress for the flight?
Dress as you would for the weather of the day, and bring wind-proof long pants and jacket. The glider constantly moves at 38-42km/h, and the air will get cooler as we climb. Light gloves are also a good idea.
