TERMS & CONDITIONS
These T&Cs constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Red Resort Limited Partnership, o/a RED Mountain (“RED Mountain”). By proceeding with your purchase, you are agreeing on behalf of yourself, and all individuals that you purchase for, to be bound by these T&Cs.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
- RED Mountain Resort’s Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement (“Waiver“) must be completed prior to the issuance of an access product (Season Pass, RED Card, Lift Ticket, etc.). This is a condition of the purchase. If the Waiver is not completed, an RFID Card will not be issued, access to Red Mountain Resort’s facilities will not be permitted, and a refund will be provided. The Waiver will be available for completion electronically during the sale process (and a link to complete the Waiver will be emailed to any non-purchasing guest).
- The Waiver will apply for the time period set out in the Waiver.
- The Waiver must be completed before an RFID Card is issued.
- Each adult cardholder/passholder must complete their own Waiver.
- A parent/legal guardian must complete a Waiver for their children under 19.
- This condition cannot be waived by any RED Mountain Resort employee or representative.
- The Waiver will affect your legal rights, including the right to sue or claim compensation following an accident. PLEASE READ THE WAIVER CAREFULLY PRIOR TO PROCEEDING WITH YOUR PURCHASE. View Sample Waiver.
Policies
- Helmets are mandatory.
- You must be at least 6 years of age.
- Children 6-12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- All up track riders must yield to hikers
- Passes will be revoked for deviating off of marked biking trails.
- Pass fraud is subject to $150 fine, with a 2 week suspension of your passholder privileges.
- Come prepared! All riders should have water, a spare tube and tools in case of an emergency.
Equipment Requirements
- RED Bike park is a mountain bike park and all bikes must be designed for that purpose. Bikes should have at minimum the following
- Front suspension (full suspension recommended)
- Disc brakes on both wheels
- Minimum 20” wheel size
- Tires designed for mountain biking with appropriate tread
- Any bike not meeting the requirements or showing obvious damage may be denied access
Mountain Biker’s Responsibility Code: Be aware. Ride with care.
Mountain biking involves the risk of serious injury or death. Knowledge and caution can reduce the risk. For your safety and the safety of others, please adhere to the code.
1. Ride in control and within your ability level
You must be able to stop and avoid other people or objects. You must understand the Bike Park signage, trail ratings and trail progression. Start slow and small. Ride trails and features matching your ability.
2. Protect yourself
Helmets are mandatory in Bike Parks and strongly recommended on all other trails. Other protective equipment is strongly recommended.
3. Do not ride
if your ability or judgement is impaired by drugs, alcohol or fatigue.
4. Inspect and maintain your bike
or have it checked by a qualified bike mechanic before you ride.
5. Obey signs and warnings
Stay on marked trails. Do not cut switchbacks and keep off closed areas.
6. Inspect trails and features
Conditions change constantly on trails and features. Inspect features before use and throughout the day.
7. Be lift smart
Make sure you have the physical dexterity, ability and knowledge to safely load, ride and unload lifts when riding at lift access resorts. Ask for assistance with chairlifts and surface lifts if unsure.
8. Look out for others
Avoid riders ahead of you. They have the right of way. Yield to other riders when entering a trail.
9. Be visible
Do not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.
10. Cooperate
If you are involved in or witness a collision or accident, you must identify yourself to the Bike Patrol, staff member or local authority.
Refund Policy
- Tickets: Non-refundable once scanned. In case of adverse weather shut downs, rain cheques will be issued to those with 2 or less chairlift scans (i.e.: 2 laps or less).
- Multi-Day Cards: Non-refundable. Rain cheques can be issued for card holders with 2 or less chairlift scans/day in case of adverse weather and or chairlift shutdown. Multi-Day Cards expire at the end of the Summer Season and unused days are not transferable to another season.
- Season Passes: Refund requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis based on the number of scans/days used in the RED Mountain Bike Park.
PRESENTING A REFUND CLAIM:
Claims must be made in writing to RED Mountain Resort. The following must be included:
- The season pass, lift ticket, or access product purchased.
- A physician’s report including:
- A complete diagnosis
- The date of first medical treatment
- A prognosis, including a statement that insured is unable to mountain bike.
- In the event of job transfer, a letter from the employer within 15 days of notification of the transfer.
Operational Notes
- Dogs are not permitted on the chair lift, up track or on the bike trails.
- The RED Riding Hood climb trail is, multi-use. Please use caution while biking and yield to hikers.
SEASON PASS PROTECTION / REFUND POLICY
Season Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable unless Season Pass Protection is purchased. Under no circumstances will refunds or credits be issued to passholders who do not purchase Season Pass Protection Insurance.
Season Pass Protection is a pro-rated refund program available for:
- $20 per Individual MTB Pass
- $40 per Family MTB Pass
Season Pass Protection must be purchased at the same time as the Season Pass and cannot be added later. For refund purposes, pass usage is defined as any scan at a lift during the 2026 season.
If a passholder becomes eligible for a refund due to injury or illness, immediate family members (spouse or children under age 25) who are also passholders at RED Mountain Resort and purchased Season Pass Protection for their pass may also request a refund if they choose to cease participation.
PASS PROTECTION REFUND ELIGIBILITY
Guests who purchased Season Pass Protection and are affected by one or more of the following situations are eligible for refunds:
- Debilitating Injury or Illness: An injury or illness that prevents mountain biking for at least 30 consecutive days. A doctor’s note is required.
- Employer-Required Relocation: The passholder’s current employer requires relocation of at least 300 km from Rossland.
- The relocation must be involuntary.
- The transfer must take place at least 45 days after the Season Pass purchase date.
EXCLUSIONS
Season Pass Protection does not cover:
- Intentional self-injury or pre-existing medical conditions.
- Voluntary relocation for work, travel, or lifestyle changes.
- Changes in employment status other than an employer-required transfer.
- Environmental or operational issues, including:
- Weather conditions
- Mechanical failures
- Fire or vandalism
- Labor disputes
- Travel plan cancellations (e.g., choosing not to travel to Rossland or RED Mountain Resort)
- Lack of use for any reason other than those listed in the Pass Protection Refund Eligibility section of this policy.
- Any other resort purchases, including locker rentals or equipment rentals.
REFUND CLAIMS
Refund requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis based on the number of scans/days used in the RED Mountain Bike Park. If a Season Pass has not been used and the passholder purchased Pass Protection, the Season Pass will be refunded in full.
PRESENTING A CLAIM
Claims must be made in writing to RED Mountain Resort. Medical claims must include a physician’s report stating that the insured Passholder is unable to mountain bike. In the event of a job transfer, the claimant must provide a letter from their employer within 15 days of notification of the transfer.

Do I have to sign a waiver when I purchase a season pass or day pass for the Bike Park at Red Mountain?
Yes. You are required to read and agree to the RED Mountain Mountain Bike Release Agreement before you purchase your pass. Click here to review the Release Agreement.
Are e-bikes allowed? Is there a “pedal-up”-only ticket?
Yes, e-bikes are allowed. There is no separate “pedal up” or “enduro” ticket or pass. Your ticket or pass purchase gives you access to the Silverlode Chairlift and all its maintained trails, including the new “Red Riding Hood” climb trail.
Are there bikes and other gear to rent?
Yes, rentals are available and located on the first floor of the day lodge. We have a number of bikes from both Norco and Transition. Learn more here
Is there a shop for bike repairs/parts?
Yes, our repair shop is located on the first floor of the day lodge.
What is the age requirement?
You must be at least 6 years old to ride the bike park. Ages 6-12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Are you hiring for the summer?
Yes, we have several openings for the summer, and you can search for them at www.redresort.com/jobs/
Is camping available in the parking lot?
At this time, camping is not available at RED Mountain Resort. The Rossland Lion’s Community Campground is just a short 5 minute drive away.
Are there hiking trails accessible from the bike park? Can foot traffic load the chairlift?
Yes. A sight-seeing ticket is available for foot-traffic passengers. There is a short hiking trail available from the top of Silverlode.
Are there plans for a skills zone or pump track?
We are looking into this as a potential future addition.
Risks Associated with Mountain Biking
Mountain biking takes place on steep and rugged terrain and features that are both physically and technically challenging and will expose the rider to many risks, dangers and hazards. These include but are not limited to the following:
- Use of chairlifts.
- Changing weather conditions.
- Slips, trips and falls.
- Loss of balance.
- High speed descents.
- Difficulty or inability to control one’s speed and direction.
- Rapid or uncontrolled acceleration on hills and inclines.
- Extreme variation in cycling terrain including steep or slippery sections, trees, roots, tree stumps, logs, cliffs, rocks, rock drops, loose gravel, holes, depressions, streams and creeks.
- Constructed feature such as bridges, ramps, ladders, bumps, berms, jumps, and drops.
- Mechanical failure of equipment.
- Collisions with natural and constructed objects, other mountain bikers, vehicles, pedestrians, spectators and officials.
- Encounters with domestic and wild animals including dogs and bears.
- Negligence of other riders or users of the premises.
- Infectious disease contracted through viruses, bacteria, parasites, and fungi which may be transmitted through direct or indirect contact.
- Negligent first aid.
- Accidents during mountain bike instructional courses, lessons, clinics or sessions.
- Failure to act safely or within one’s own ability or to stay within designated areas.
