Bio: Growing up I knew I wanted to live in the mountains and snowboard as much as possible, so when I was 18 I moved out to Nelson to take the SROAM Program, which forever changed my life. I’ve also lived in Whistler and Smithers before landing in Rossland. I’ve worked in the ski industry for the last 13 years, and I love sharing my passion with as many people around me as possible. I started competing in Freeride World Qualifiers in 18/19 by going to the Canadian Open here at RED, and the stoke and camaraderie got me hooked! Last year I traveled across BC competing – winning 1st here at RED and coming 2nd at Lake Louise – and I can’t wait to see where it takes me!

How old were you when you started riding?

Started on skis when I was 3, and graduated to snowboarding when I was 10. Never looked back.

Who are your mentors/influencers?

My dad’s passion and stoke for skiing/snowboarding was hugely responsible for me getting out there and chasing my dreams. Now I get stoked and look up to all my friends that I shred with and push me to be the best I can be.

Any Nicknames?

Ernie, Er-Bear…and maybe a couple I shouldn’t mention =P

What’s your favourite thing about RED?

The epic lift accessed terrain, the awesome people, and finding pow stashes days after its snowed.

What movie/video gets you most amped for the winter?

Watching any ski or snowboard videos get me stoked, but some oldies like Stepchild’s Child Support and Forum’s That always do the trick, and bring me back to when I first got into the game.

What’s your favorite run at RED?

First run down Link’s Line always puts a big smile on my face.

Do you listen to music when you shred? (what’s your go-to?)

Sometimes – if I’m not pumped up enough I’ll throw on some electronic beats and get dancing!

When not skiing/riding, what else do you like to do?

That’s pretty much all I do in the winter, and in the summer my days are filled with disc golf and mountain biking.

What’s the best trick name?

Wildcat/Tamedog

Do you have any preseason rituals leading up to the winter?

I like to work out to get in shape, do yoga, and spend as much time watching videos and dreaming of snow as I can!

If you could be any animal, what would it be?

Probably a Bald Eagle…soaring around would be so cool, and they are such majestic (and badass) creatures!

What’s your favorite saying?

Let’s goooooo!

Describe your perfect apres.

Nachos at Rafters with the homies, followed by a hot tub. Early bed and then do it all again!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Still snowboarding and disc golfing as much as I can!
