Cycle Series is back better than ever!
Get geared up and pumped for the second season of the Cycle Series Timed Downhill Mountain Bike Races this summer. Race down the trails with awards and prizes on the deck, post-race! This summer, all races are one-offs (no points system like last summer), so that means each week YOU have a chance to claim your spot at the top with prizes every race!

No problem, join us for Five Fridays and cheer on the participants on the RED Deck starting at 5PM until 9PM with some delicious food and cold beers. PLUS: musical performances every week just to sweeten the pot!

The Cycle Series is back for another lap around the sun! Come spend your Friday evenings with us for some good old fashioned downhill fun. With beer, bites, and music on the deck every week, where else would you rather be?

Cycle Series Details:
Race plate pick up from 3:30-5pm on the deck | Races start at 5pm sharp | Awards on the deck post race
Online Registration: $20+taxes & fees (100 Racers Max)
Categories: Male, Female, Youth (U16) & New E-Bike category
Format: Timed downhill from top to bottom on a flagged course
Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each category (1st only for E-Bike)
Course Maps:
Course released the Wednesday before the race. Racers will be required to pedal to the top of course.

INTERMEDIATE – ADVANCED
The OG classic Red Mountain trail. A little mix of everything on this local favourite. Flowy and smooth for the most part, with a couple of fun technical sections, a small weaving jump section and a latter bridge skinny in the mix. Nothing overly steep to worry about.
Up Track: Lower Pilgrim to Upper Pilgrim

INTERMEDIATE
The newest trail at RED offers some nice flowy singletrack with a variety of fun, moderate technical features. There are a couple small rock rolls and wooden bridges that cross the beautiful Topping Creek. It’s a nice long descent that most riders are comfortable on.
Up Track: Lower Pilgrim to Upper Pilgrim
REDHEAD
ADVANCED
This legendary singletrack trail is a smooth pumpy rollercoaster winding down through the lower area of ‘Poochies Trees.’ The lower section gets a little steeper and rockier with old school roots and rocks peppering a steeper descent. This trail is very well shaded so the dirt always stays pretty prime.
Up Track: Redtop to Redhead Access
DRAGON TAIL
INTERMEDIATE
Get ready for a brand new chainless race on Dragon Tail! Who will be the flowiest, smoothest rider in Rossland?! Revolution Cycle and Rossland Outdoor will be assisting racers with taking their chain off up top and putting it back on at the bottom of the course. Pump your way onto the podium in this unique non-pedalling showdown!
Up Track: Pilgrim lower to Pilgrim upper
REDHEAD TO REDTOP
INTERMEDIATE – ADVANCED
This week we are mixing up the trails – literally! Drop into Redhead (off Dales Trail) and start with some classic Kootenay tech. Then fly into some roller coaster turns and veer off onto Red Top where there is some fast, flowy & smooth singletrack. End with some pedal power and push to the finish line at the base of Red Mountain where you can join your friends on the deck for Five Fridays! This is your last chance to race to the finish and win some sweet swag! Let’s GoooOoOOOooO!

It’s time for the final race! All racers meet at the top of Dragon Tail for 5:30pm race start time. Racers can pedal up Pilgrim to get to the race start at the top of Dragon Tail. Please follow all trail/course markings.
