Snowboarding

Beginner/Intermediate Skiers and Riders
Beginner
Beginner skiers and riders can hone their skills on Red’s magic carpet slope or on the new beginner terrain accessible by the Silverlode chairlift. If you need a little assistance in getting started on the right foot, contact one of our many friendly Snowsports Instructors for a lesson today.

If you wish to ride to the top of Granite Mountain via the Motherlode Chair, the easiest way down is taking Rino’s Run or the Southside Road. The Paradise Basin has mostly intermediate runs; however you can still access the Paradise Lodge with green runs by taking Silver Sheep run.
Advanced/Expert Skiers and Riders
Advanced/Expert
This is where Red Mountain Resort really shines! Voted Best Powder, Best Steeps, Best Trees by Ski Canada Magazine, and ranked “one of North America’s top ten expert resorts” by Forbes Traveler; need we say more to our extreme skiers? Depending on your skill level, there are many fall lines off the summit of Granite that will be sure to excite you. For advanced skiers / boarders try Jumbo, Ledges or Powder Fields for a few trees, gorgeous views and a fantastic run on a powder day. Expert skiers and riders will find many excellent fall lines at the end of Buffalo Ridge in the Slides, Cambodia (named aptly), Roots or Needles. More double blacks (and one single black) can also be found to the skier’s left of Ridge Road, including the Coolers, Doug’s Run, Oil Can and Beer Belly. CAUTION: These runs are extremely advanced so take necessary precautions when skiing and always ride with a buddy.
Telemark Skiing
Telemark skiing is a twist on the sport that we’re all familiar with – they use freeheel bindings rather than the fixed bindings that skiers use. Red Mountain Resort entertains a healthy telemark skier contigient that enjoy our easy backcountry access and gladed runs.
