Canadian National Alpine Championships
The Canadian National Alpine Championships are coming home! Prepare for a week of speed and spandex as some of the top ski racers in the world compete for a National Title. There will also be plenty of community events throughout the week to celebrate the history of skiing and Rossland’s instrumental role in proliferating this beautiful sport! Come on out and support our Canadian National Ski Team!

Opening Day Updates
Big news! Our on-mountain Operations and Patrol teams have been working tirelessly these last few days to allow us to officially announce the set Opening Day of the 2023/24 season! We will be kicking off the first day of the season this Thursday, December 28th with the Magic Carpet Carpet, Silverlode, Motherlode, and Paradise Chairs spinning. We cannot stress enough how important it is to understand that current early-season conditions on the mountain require all guests to stick to our designated & groomed runs. Natural hazards - both marked and unmarked - very much exist right now. Check our Snow Report & our social channels Thursday morning for the release of what runs will officially be open to start the season. In terms of available terrain, please note that Motherlode Chair will only be intended as access between Paradise and the lower mountain. A few other important things to know starting Thursday... Our free Rossland to RED shuttle will be kicking off Thursday morning! View & download the schedule here Lift tickets will be 30% off at the ticket window until further notice Paradise Lodge will be open w/ regular hours from 10am - 2:30pm Come join us in Rafters for the first aprės and No Shower Happy Hour of the season! Open at 11am - 6pm with No Shower Happy Hour kicking off at 2pm! Our Rental Shop (8am - 4pm) & Retail Store (8:30am - 4:30pm) will also be ready for ya if you need any last-minute tune-ups or outerwear before hopping on the chair! We can't wait to get this season started! Local Legends Freeski Day
Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines… it’s GIVE’R time! The wildly successful Local Legends Freeski Day is back for another year. This one-day mentorship freeski camp connects the next generation of Rossland shredders with their hometown heroes. Presented by the Team GIVE’R Foundation, all proceeds from this event will go directly back into helping youth fulfill their passions and achieve their dreams.
International Ski Patrol Day
Join us on February 10, 2024, as we honor the unsung heroes of the slopes on International Ski Patrol Day (ISPD). Rossland Winter Carnival
Possibly the biggest event of the year! The Annual Rossland Winter Carnival is packed with community and family-oriented activities and events throughout this historical weekend, with lots of reasons and ways to celebrate! From ice sculptures and ice bars, live music, food vendors, fire dancers and parades, tobogganing, bobsled races, RED Mountain's "The Game" Rail Jam, and more, this is seriously a weekend to remember.

Join us Feb 15th for Thursday Night Ride & Meet And Greet with Mary Rand and Spencer O’Brien. Come out and rip the T-bar with Mary and Spencer, then join us after in Keen Coffee for a meet & greet! Beer and other drinks available for purchase. Kids welcome!
Backcountry Awareness Day
Backcountry Awareness Day is BACK after a few year hiatus! Join members from Rossland Search and Rescue to learn how to prepare for the backcountry and practice key safety skills for the wilderness. Be sure to stop by the Search and Rescue tent beside the Base Lodge for some hot chocolate, tasty snacks and great prizes!
