December 2, 2022 Update:

We’re excited to announce that for our December 10th opening, the following areas will be ready to roll for your shredding pleasure: T-Bar and Silverlode, Paradise (Motherlode Chair to access), and Topping Creek! We plan to have all F&B facilities running as well!

Given we’re still more than a week out from opening, we’ll continue with more updates as we get closer to December 10th, so be sure to check back here or on our Facebook and Instagram!

Specific run announcements will also be listed in our snow report starting toward the of next week.

A friendly reminder that in preparation for opening day, we will be working on the mountain at all hours with grooming equipment, operational set up and avalanche control. For your personal safety and the safety of the RED team please remain away from the mountain until opening day. This includes cross-country skiing, ski touring, tobogganing, hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and any other form of mountain activity. Our team is working hard on preparation for a great season and your cooperation is always appreciated. We’re almost there!!

What To Expect For This Winter: Reloadable Tix, RFID Gates & More

This winter, we’re excited to introduce RFID gate scanning and reloadable cards to pass holders and guests of RED, ultimately saving time, effort, and getting you on the mountain quicker!

We know there’s a lot of changes happening with these upgrades, so we wanted to break them down as simply as possible for you.

Check out the video to learn how our reloadable tickets and cards work or click the button below to get the full scoop on these new updates.

PASSHOLDER PICKUP SCHEDULE: YOUR SHINY NEW KEY TO RED

Starting November 7th, Guest Services will be ready for season passholder pickup! Like the prior few years, we have split our pickup schedule into 3 distinct alphabetized categories based on last names, that you can find below. To avoid congestion, last-minute lineups, etc., please adhere to the schedule as best you can, as it helps everyone out in the end.

And unlike prior years, we’ve been hard at work on an entirely new resort-wide ticket access and pass card system. Even with all our intensive summer and fall training, there’s sure to be a curveball here and there, so please have patience with our awesome Guest Services staff as you show up to pick up your passes!

The Season Pass pickup schedule, by last name, will go as follows:

Monday to Friday, from 8:30am – 4pm.
A-H: November 7th – 17th
I-P: November 18th – 29th
Q-Z: November 30th – December 9th

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
You can email tickets@redresort.com or call 250-362-7384

THE 3 P’S: PARKING. PREDICTABILITY. POWDER.

It’s been an exciting “off-season” at RED with new construction seemingly everywhere and the beep-beep of concrete trucks mingling with Kootenay birdsong. We’ve heard your concerns about parking spots for this upcoming winter and wanted to take this opportunity to set the record straight along with dialing in some other updates for this winter!

Summer saw a number of spots near The Crescent construction gobbled up by big trucks, vans, and materials. Construction will slow on The Crescent as wintery weather blows in, so please understand a significant amount of these spots will open up again for parking this winter! Don’t fret. It causes wrinkles.

Our freshest action on-hill is the new gathering place with full food & beverage service at the base of Topping Creek. We’re thrilled to welcome you all to this newest establishment, and along with that, we’ve expanded approximately 75+ new parking spots into this development. We foresee this new access point becoming a real boon on rabid powder days.

Bus a move!

Our Rossland to RED shuttle service has been expanded and improved this winter, so it’s easier than ever to take your car out of the equation entirely. Thanks to our partnership with Kootenay Gateway, the RED shuttle now has more pick-up times—including, per our locals’ request, later in the evening, too! This service runs 7 days a week, with the last bus leaving the mountain now @ 6pm.

With this new and improved schedule, a season pass or a bulk punch card is even more of a no-brainer to easily get to and from the mountain!

We’ve also beefed up our Safe Ride Home evening shuttle for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, allowing more flexibility with a mix of both on-demand and advance booking options, no minimum group requirements, and a late-night operation time until 11pm.
