Support Erin’s Freeride World Tour Journey

Exciting news! Local RED athlete, Erin Sauvé, has earned herself a spot on the 2024 Freeride World Tour! This winter she’ll be hitting the global stage and competing against the world’s top snowboarders on some of the most challenging alpine faces known to man. We couldn’t be more stoked to follow along on her journey while she represents Rossland with pride!

To ensure Erin can focus entirely on delivering her best performance, we’re rallying the community to help us raise funds and assist with the financial aspects such as flights, hotels, training, etc. There are two ways you can show your support:

  1. Donate to Erin’s GoFundMe: Any contribution is greatly appreciated and will make a significant impact. Donate here »
  2. Attend ‘A Suave Send Off’ fundraiser: Join us December 16th at B&T’s Hardknock Café! Tickets are on sale now and will give you access to a rockin’ party, live music, and a silent auction. Learn more »

If you see Erin around town, be sure to congratulate her on this huge accomplishment. The FWT kicks off January 26th in Spain and will be broadcast live at www.freerideworldtour.com for those who want to cheer her on!

Some words from Erin qualifying:

This [last] winter was a wild ride, and I had so much fun. My goal was to make it to the Freeride World Qualifier Finals [last] year, and up until that point balancing work and snowboarding felt pretty good. Qualifying for the Finals, and having 3 events in March (all over the US & Canada) definitely pushed me to my limits though. I am so lucky to have had an amazing team to work with at the Fall Line Snow School, which allowed me to take the time I needed to compete while still fulfilling my role as Director. Their support was invaluable though, as was RED Resort’s, and I have so much gratitude for them! Thanks to all of you, you know who you are!

Who knew those three Finals events would be a clean sweep in the end?! That was an amazing series of events, and being the Women’s Snowboarding Champion of the Region 2 Freeride World Qualifiers is an unreal feeling.

I can’t wait to travel the world and snowboard with some amazing women. I am so grateful for this opportunity, and I’ll be riding some insane venues with the best of the best out there. It’s totally unreal still, and it’s going to be the most exciting and challenging thing I’ve ever tackled. I’m stoked! Let’s go!
