Kinder Club is the perfect introduction to skiing for young children ages 3–5. This weekly program is designed to help little skiers build confidence, develop fundamental skills, and foster a love for being on the snow in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.
Each week, children ski with the same coach and group whenever possible, allowing them to build confidence, develop friendships, and progress at a pace that’s appropriate for their age and ability. Through engaging games, activities, and guided exploration, our qualified instructors help young skiers develop strong fundamentals while making every lesson enjoyable.
Groups are organized by age and ability. Please refer to our online Ability Chart before registering to ensure your child is placed in the appropriate group.

Junior Club

Junior Club is the perfect introduction to seasonal ski development for young skiers looking to build confidence, improve their skills, and have fun on the mountain. This weekly half-day program provides a supportive and engaging environment where participants develop strong fundamental skiing skills while making new friends and exploring RED Mountain.
Each week, skiers stay with the same coach and group, allowing them to build lasting friendships and progress at a comfortable pace. Our qualified instructors create fun, challenging lessons that help participants develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of skiing.
Groups are organized by age and ability to ensure skiers are learning alongside others of similar skill. Please refer to our online Ability Chart before registering to ensure your child is placed in the appropriate program.

What’s Next?
Junior Club is designed for skiers in Levels 1–3. Once participants reach Level 4, they’re ready to graduate to All Mountain Riders—our full-day development program for intermediate and advanced skiers. All Mountain Riders offers more time on snow, expanded terrain, and advanced coaching to help young skiers continue progressing while exploring everything RED Mountain has to offer.

- Unless stated, lessons do not include lift passes or rental equipment.
- Lessons must be booked in advance. Day-of bookings may be accepted if there is availability. Program availability and lesson formats are subject to change. Guests participating in a lesson receive 20% off their lift ticket when you purchase them in the Snow School building.
- We require all children age 12 and under to be picked up by a parent at the end of their lesson.

Know Before You Go:
Welcome to your ski or snowboard lesson with Red Mountain Snow School! If you are about to join us for a lesson out on the slopes, there are a couple of things to know before you get here.
Ability Levels
Level 1 – Never Ever
SKI - Has never skied before, cannot stop independently/control speed
SNOWBOARD - Has never snowboarded before, cannot stop independently/control speed.
Level 2 – Beginner
SKI - Can ski in a snow plow, turning and stopping safely on gentle terrain. In control riding the Magic Carpet and I am working towards being comfortable on Green runs.
SNOWBOARD - Can side slip on the heel and toe edge, and stop safely. Can change direction side to side (pendulum) and am learning to make individual turns. In control riding the Magic Carpet and I am working towards being comfortable on Green runs.
Level 3 – Novice
SKI - Can ski some parallel, may start my turns with a snow plow on steeper terrain. Can sometimes ski in uneven snow on sides of run. I am working towards skiing Blue runs. Can ski all runs on Silverlode chairlift, and progressing to intermediate runs on other chairlifts such as Topping and Paradise Chairlift.
SNOWBOARD – Can link turns on Green runs. Working on linking turns on Blue runs. Can get on and off chairlifts with confidence. Comfortable riding the Silverlode Chairlift, and progressing to intermediate runs on other chairlifts such as Topping and Paradise Chairlift.
Level 4 – Intermediate
SKI – Can consistently parallel ski on all groomed terrain. Using poles to pole plant. Working on skiing ungroomed snow, some trees and moguls. Comfortable riding Topping Creek and Paradise Chairlift.
SNOWBOARD - Can confidently link turns on Blue runs. Uses the lower body to control snowboard. Working on riding ungroomed snow, some trees and moguls. Comfortable riding Topping Creek and Paradise Chairlift.
Level 5 – Advanced
SKI – Can parallel ski on all Black groomed runs. I can hold an edge on steep terrain, and carve turn on Blue runs. I can ski with control through trees and bumps on Blue and some Black runs. Working on mastering rhythm and control in all areas. Comfortable riding all chairlifts.
SNOWBOARD - Can confidently ride all groomed runs and working on developing my performance riding. I can stay centered and mobile over my board when riding moguls and variable terrain. I am comfortable riding at speed on all Blue and Black tree runs. Working on mastering rhythm and control in all areas. Comfortable riding all chairlifts.
Cancellation Policy
- All lessons must be paid in full at the time of booking. Enrollment for all programs, camps, and lessons is on a first-come, first-served basis. Wait-list options are available once a program or camp reaches full capacity.
- Lessons may be refunded or re-booked more than 48 hours prior to the lesson start time, subject to a $25 administration fee per lesson. Any re-booked lesson must be scheduled within the current season. Within 48 hours of the lesson start time, lessons are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Guests who arrive late may not be able to join their lesson.
- All lessons are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment or extreme weather. If RED Mountain cancels a lesson, participants will be offered the option to re-book or receive a refund to the original method of payment.
- Camp and club programs are offered at a package price; therefore, missed or unused lesson days are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.
- RED Mountain reserves the right to refuse enrollment or remove a participant from any lesson, camp, or program if their behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, inappropriate, or interferes with the safety or enjoyment of other participants. Whenever appropriate, Snow School staff will work with participants and parents/guardians to address behavioural concerns before removal; however, serious incidents may result in immediate dismissal. Participants who are removed from a lesson, camp, or program due to behavioural or conduct issues are not eligible for a refund, credit, or rescheduling of any unused portion of the program.
