20/21 TOPPING CREEK PARKING & SEASON PASS PICKUP UPDATES

TOURING NOTICE:

A friendly reminder to locals in the area that staff are currently working on the mountain for winter snow operation which also includes some heavy duty summer ops equipment. Please do NOT tour on RED Mountain or within the resort tenure prior to opening. There is no RED Mountain rescue available and it's a great time to explore the Strawberry Pass, Kootenay Pass and other wonderful places in the meantime. Thank you for your understanding.

PARKING:

We are happy to announce we are providing our Season Pass Holders with direct access to the Topping Creek Chairlift via a new Season Pass Holder-only parking lot. The parking lot is designed for approximately 300 vehicles. The lot will be staffed each day and gates will be closed by 4pm daily.

Prior to the ski season and the opening of the lot, please do not trespass onto the property. This parking lot is only available through the generosity of our neighbour, and we ask that you respect the operation hours. Lift privileges will be revoked for any trespassers.

PARKING FAQ:

Are there facilities at the lot?

For this winter, no. We are planning that this lot in the future will be a permanent portal with a ticket office, coffee bar, washrooms, and potentially lockers in the future. The current lot is a temporary COVID-19 measure to relieve base area congestion. There are toilets at the base of the Grey Chairlift. As at all RED facilities, we ask that our pass holders refrain from littering and ensure all garbage you bring in leaves with you.

Will camping be allowed?

No. There may be limited self contained camping in the primary lot at the base area and more information will be provided as we get closer to opening day.

Is a two wheel drive vehicle acceptable at Topping?

We recommend four wheel drive. The access road will be maintained but since this is a temporary parking area the access drive is a steep mountain road.

Will the lot be signed?

Yes there will be directional signage. Parking will be allowed only on RED Mountain property and blue directional signage will guide you to the lot.

Will vehicles be spaced for COVID separation?

Yes. The parking lot will be staffed and we ask that vehicle owners park according to the recommended spacing for adequate boot up physical distancing.

Do all of the COVID-19 RED Mountain protocol apply at this parking area?

Yes. Mandatory face coverings and all other protocol listed at redresort.com/covid apply to this parking area.

Can I buy a day ticket here?

No. The lot is for Season Pass Holders only. If you arrive and need a day ticket you will need to return to the Base Area Day Lodge Guest Services ticket window.
